Help a Widow Women
India is the country with the largest widow population in the world. It is estimated there are 40 million widows in India today – 10 per cent of the country’s female population. It has become home to the “husbandless”.
The widows are the unacceptable face of India, many leading agencies including Central and Local Governments have failed them, Politicians with rare exceptions have ignored them and wider society continues to exploit them.
Widowed women and their children need our support. Save The Humanity Feather was founded with the aim to instill a sense of welfare and bring about a social change in the way we see these pressing concerns. Our aim is to provide financial and social as well as economic security for women who have faced the hardship of widowhood. We aim to bring about a change in the socio-economic condition of poor and needy people and weaker sections of society. Our charitable initiatives also focus on women and children health. Core areas where we strive to make a difference include education and employment as economic empowerment is the key to uplifting the poor and alleviating their distress.
